Any file that prints well at its size. PNG or JPG works when sharp enough; a plain white background is removed for you. Your logo prints in one colour.

How to get the best result
- Best: SVG, or a PDF saved from Illustrator, InDesign or Affinity (vector). Edges stay sharp at any size.
- Also fine: a PNG or JPG that is sharp at the size it prints. Your logo prints about 50 mm wide, so it needs 300 pixels per inch there. We measure it for you.
- Handled for you: a plain white background is removed automatically. A coloured box can be removed with one tap.
- Stopped: anything that would print badly: image files under 1,000 px on the long side or under 225 pixels per inch at print size, photos and busy images, lines under about 0.3 mm. We suggest a fix each time.

The three lines at the bottom of the front use the Rippl font. You can use your own font file for them instead. The wording, size and position stay the same.

How to get the best result
- CMYK values give the most accurate print colour, so enter your brand’s CMYK first. Pantone, hex or RGB can be converted, but check the result. The screen shows CMYK through the printer’s profile, so it is a close guide.
- Chrome print leaves your logo as bare metal. The small text prints in white or black, whichever reads best on your background.
- Print and background must sit at least 20% apart on one of C, M, Y or K, so the can reads.
- The barcode stays white with black bars on every can, so it scans.

Rippl® Custom Branded Design and Order Online – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to custom-branded can orders designed and paid for online through Rippl® Design and Order Online at drinkrippl.com. By ticking "I agree to the Rippl Custom Branded Terms & Conditions" and paying for your order, you agree to these Terms. Orders arranged through a Rippl® quote are covered by our standard Custom Branded Terms & Conditions instead.
1. Order quantities and confirmation
- Online orders are for 330ml cans of still and/or sparkling mineral water, in quantities of 240, 480 or 960 cans per variety, up to 960 cans in total. For larger orders, contact us.
- Your order is confirmed once (a) you have approved your proof and accepted these Terms in the customiser, and (b) full payment has been received through our Shopify checkout.
- The approved proof, your selected finish, colours, quantities and production speed form the order. We print what you approve.
2. Pricing and payment
- Full payment is taken at checkout. Production does not start until payment has been received.
- Prices are shown per can excluding GST. No GST applies to still mineral water. GST applies to sparkling mineral water, Priority production and freight.
- Prices include printing, manufacturing, filling and cartons of 24 cans. Design and Order Online orders do not include design services. Our design service is available separately through drinkrippl.com/pages/custom.
- Freight is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order quantity, and is shown before you pay.
3. Production and delivery
- Standard production is dispatched within approximately 3 weeks of payment. Priority production is dispatched within approximately 1 week of payment. The estimated arrival date shown in the customiser and at checkout includes carrier transit time and a buffer, and is an estimate, not a guaranteed date.
- While we work to meet every estimated date, delays in manufacturing or freight may occur beyond our reasonable control. We will notify you of any delay. If you have a strict deadline, please contact us before ordering. We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
- Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:30pm (AEST/AEDT), excluding public holidays. Deliveries outside these hours are not guaranteed.
- You are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery within this window. If no one is available, you authorise the carrier to leave the goods unattended at the delivery address without a signature, at your own risk. Rippl® is not liable for loss, theft or damage after goods have been left in accordance with this authority.
- Cans are packed in double-strength cartons marked Fragile – Handle with Care. Transit is outside our direct control.
4. Your artwork, files and responsibility
- You are responsible for your design, including logos, fonts, colours and any wording you add, and for checking your proof carefully before approving it.
- Upload your logo as an SVG or vector PDF where possible, or a high-resolution image. The customiser checks every file for print quality and tells you if a file is not suitable.
- CMYK colour values give the most accurate printed colour. Where colours are supplied in another format (such as hex, RGB or Pantone), they are converted to CMYK and the printed colour may differ from your screen or brand colour. You will be asked to accept this before ordering, and your acceptance is recorded.
- Where you choose to proceed past a quality warning in the customiser (for example, a lower resolution logo), your acceptance is recorded and the related outcome is not a print fault.
- By approving your design, you confirm that you own or are licensed to use every logo, font, image and other content in it, and that it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property or break any law. You indemnify Rippl® against any claim arising from content you supply.
- We may decline or cancel any order containing content we consider offensive, unlawful or infringing, with a full refund.
5. Changes and cancellations
- Your order is final once it is confirmed (proof approved, these Terms accepted and payment made). Because your cans are printed specifically for you, no changes or cancellations can be made after confirmation.
- Please check your proof, quantities, finish, production speed and delivery address carefully before paying.
6. Print colour and quality
- We print exactly the design you approve and are not liable for colour differences where CMYK values were not supplied.
- Slight variations in colour, alignment or finish may occur due to the printing process and are considered acceptable within industry standards, as are minor marks that are normal on aluminium cans.
7. Our guarantee: print faults and transit damage
We stand behind every order.
- Print faults: if your order has a genuine, reasonable print fault (for example, missing or misplaced artwork, or print that clearly does not match your approved proof), tell us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we will replace the affected cans at our cost.
- Transit damage: if your cans arrive with genuine, reasonable transit damage, tell us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will assess the damage and provide a fair resolution, which may include replacement, credit or a partial refund at our discretion.
- Replacement covers the affected cans only, not the whole order, and is our remedy for a print fault.
- Not print faults: colour differences where CMYK was not supplied; outcomes of any warning you accepted in the customiser; the variations described in section 6; and the natural characteristics of each finish below.
Natural characteristics of each finish (not faults):
- Chrome: the raw aluminium surface can show scratching, scuffing and surface imperfections, and there may be greater build-up of raw aluminium toward the base of the can.
- Matte: the soft, low-sheen coating can show scuff or polish marks from handling and transit.
- Gloss: the high-shine coating can show fingerprints and fine surface marks, particularly under direct light.
- Spot Gloss: the gloss highlight may sit fractionally off the edges of the selected elements, within normal print tolerance.
- All finishes: minor marks, small dents and slight colour or alignment variation that are normal for printed aluminium cans.
8. Intellectual property and marketing
- You keep all rights to your designs and logos.
- You grant Rippl® a licence to reproduce your design for the purpose of producing your order.
- Unless you opt out, you grant Rippl® a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to photograph, film and show your finished, approved cans, including your design, logo and brand name as they appear on the cans, across all Rippl® media. This includes our website, social media, advertising, proposals, presentations and case studies.
- You can opt out when you order by unticking "Rippl may show my finished cans in its marketing" in the terms shown at checkout. It is ticked unless you untick it.
- This right covers finished and approved products only. We will not publish your design during manufacturing or before your order is complete.
9. Your information
- We store your design, files, approvals and order details to produce and support your order and to let you reorder. Saved designs and files are kept securely and are not shared except with our production partners for the purpose of making your order.
10. Force majeure
Rippl® is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions or manufacturing issues.
11. Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Victoria.
13. Finish definitions
- Chrome: the background is always plain chrome: the bare aluminium is used as a reflective, mirror-like background, with your design printed directly over it. No white or coloured base coat is applied behind the artwork. Because this finish relies on the raw aluminium surface, it is subject to potential scratching and surface imperfections, and there may be greater build-up of raw aluminium toward the base of the can. These are inherent to the raw aluminium finish and outside Rippl's control.
- Matte: a flat, non-reflective overcoat across the full design, giving a soft-touch, low-sheen finish.
- Gloss: a high-shine, reflective overcoat across the full design for a bright, polished finish.
- Spot Gloss: your logo and the text at the bottom of the front of the can are printed with a raised gloss coating, and the rest of the design has a matte finish, creating a contrasting highlight. Chrome print is not available with Spot Gloss.
